28. I've Got A Pain In The Neck

The heading is not meant as a joke, I’m serious. A couple of weeks ago I started getting this pain in the neck. At first, I thought I’d slept awkwardly, Bob thought that maybe my screen was at the wrong angle since I’d got my screen shelf. But now, as it has started to crack every time I turn my head round to the right, I’m beginning to think that the arthritis has reached that part of my neck.

 

Several years ago, when I noticed that my left thumb was semi numb, I underwent loads of tests, including an MRI, and finally they decided that the arthritis had reached my neck and had narrowed the channel that the nerve ran through and so was compressing the nerve slightly.
