This is basically a diary of years and years of my joint problems, although later on, as I got older, other things started happening and what has been done to supposedly relieve all these problems.

It all started when I was at college in the 1970s and, so far, there is no end.

Some of the events in here are almost unbelievable but I assure you they are all true, and have happened either to me or while I was a witness.

I have interspersed it with some of the poems I have written, over the years, where I feel they are appropriate.

Patients

So many lengthy consultations.

So many painful investigations.

So many different medications.

So many tests’ evaluations

So many delays and frustrations.

So many complex operations.

Maybe that’s why we’re all called patients.
