They say ‘All good things come to those who wait’.

I guess that’s true because yesterday (7/12/22) I got a phone call, totally out of the blue from the Conquest Hospital, to say they’d had a cancellation so would I like to take it up for my hip replacement operation. Stupid question! I’m hardly likely to say no after all this time, am I.

So, over 6 years after being told I need a hip replacement and 39 weeks after being put on the waiting list it looks as though they’re going to give me a new left hip for Christmas.

On Monday (12/12/22) I go for my Pre-Op. Assessment so, all being well, I should have my operation on Tuesday 20th December 2022. I admit I’m really excited and nervous at the same time.

I seem to have passed all the tests at my pre-op assessment so it’s all go for the op next week.
